Hotel terms
All rates are quoted in ZAR.
All guests are required to sign an indemnity form upon arrival and provide a form of identity verification.
Payment Terms:A 50% deposit is required 14 days from date of booking to secure the booking.
Full prepayment required 30 days prior to arrival.
Full prepayment required should booking be made within 30 days prior to arrival.
Shamwari Private Game Reserve reserves the right to release bookings, should payment not be received by the requested date.
Bank charges for account of guest
Discrepancies on confirmation to be addressed at time of booking.
Cancellation Terms:Cancellations will only be accepted in writing via email
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival – 25% cancellation fee
Cancellation less than 15 days prior to arrival – 50% cancellation fee
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival – 100% cancellation fee
Game Drive and Guided Walk Policy:Children 4 years and older are permitted on all game drives.
Children 3 years and younger are not permitted on any game drives.
Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted on walking safaris.
Persons over the age of 65 will require a medical clearance certificate stating they are fit to partake in a strenuous walking safari lasting up to 4 hours.
Pregnant women are not permitted on walking safaris.
A daily guest conservation levy of R650 is applicable to all persons, children (04-11 years old) at R300 per child. The purpose of the levy is to support conservation, specifically focused on anti-poaching efforts. This levy is payable at the lodge on day of check out.
Children Policy (0-11 years old):Children 0-3 years old, can share a room with their parents at our child friendly lodges with no supplement charge.
Children 4-11 years old, pay 50% of the adult sharing rate whether sharing or occupying their own room.

Eagles Crag 12+ years of age
Sindile 16+ years of age
Please note children 4 years and older are welcome to join game drives and visit our Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Children 6 years and older are permitted to visit our Born Free Big Cat Sanctuary. For younger children, child minding services are available at an additional cost per hour per child whilst game drives are out.
