Beautiful manor house with lush gardens overlooking a water hole where you can just observe giraffes, impalas, and many other animals at anytime during the day. Among the best boutique hotels we’ve been, the personalized service and attention of the staff, especially Truth, Advice, Jabu & Raymond was incredible. All meals were wonderful and house wine selection“Tokara” was very nice. A small point of improvement, having a wine & cocktail menu would help know the full list of options and price range available. Leadwood suite was very spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and gave a real sense of place. WiFi was a bit patchy and there’s no TV in room but we were not there for that! We could hear the freight trains passing day and night but wasn’t a major distraction. This is perhaps the cost of convenience, the lodge is 10 min away from both the main town and airport of Hoedspruit - a plus for those with limited time. Cici at the spa took great care of us for massages and facial treatments. Beautiful secluded spot overlooking the Savanah and nice products. Game drives were exceptional, we saw cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions.. it’s worth doing as many game drives you can with Khaya Ndlovu; Elsa, Harry and Terence were really good at replying to all our questions and explaining all aspects of the unique ecosystem. Point of improvement: external groups coming for game drives could be kept away from the pool and deck area - as their arrival/departure disrupted the tranquility and sense of privacy. We would certainly recommend to others and look forward to coming back!

Sanctuary Mandela is a true gem. The food masterfully blends South African flavors with creative flair, and each dish is both beautiful and delicious. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect reflection of Nelson Mandela’s legacy. The staff’s service was impeccable, adding to an already memorable experience. Dining here feels like a journey through South African heritage. Highly recommended!

Have been to Madikwe a few times before but Impodimo will be our new home. From the first point of contact to leaving all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are beautifully appointed, very clean and comfortable. We had a room overlooking the waterhole which was always busy with animal activity. The hide is a little oasis with amazing viewing of the animals at ground level. The food was just amazing and lots of variety. Dinners were moved around on the decks so each night felt different. Meri our ranger and Heron our tracker were fabulous at giving us the best animal viewing and very happy all the time. We became a happy family during our 5 days. The main areas of Impodimo are lovely and as the lodge is not fenced animals often roam around. Impodimo is how a safari experience should be. Just perfect.

An Unforgettable Stay at Skye Villa Our stay at Skye Villa was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. Each member of the team went above and beyond to make our experience special, and we were truly impressed by their attention to detail. Whether it was remembering that we enjoyed fresh chilli with our breakfast or the night staff graciously keeping the bar open for us, we felt so well cared for. The advice and recommendations we received about Plettenberg and all it has to offer made our visit even more enjoyable. From the breathtaking views to the beautiful villa itself, everything was perfect. We may not remember all of your names, but please know that each of you played a part in making our stay remarkable.
